Where to Recycle Ag Plastics/Containers - County of Stettler

The County of Stettler supported Cleanfarms in collecting agricultural plastic containers (up to 23L) at local transfer sites and the regional landfill as part of a transition program that has now come to an end.

This change follows a 2021 Provincial Agricultural Service Board Resolution that shifts responsibility for this recycling program to Agricultural Retailers/Dealers. The resolution highlights better outcomes in provinces where retailers manage collection—such as higher rinse compliance and fewer issues with contamination and illegal dumping.
