There was no official word this year from Alberta Health Services regarding the Stettler Hospital's New Year's baby. AHS decided that they wouldn't announce New Year's babies across the province because of COVID-19.
At the start of the month, we decided to try and find out ourselves. Fast forward a few weeks and Megan Beynon contacted StettlerLocal.com. She said that she gave birth on January 3, 2021 and the doctor had told her that her child was the New Year's baby for the Stettler Hospital.
Meet Amelia Beynon. She was 6 lbs 11 oz and born 11 minutes after midnight on January 3rd at The Stettler Hospital and Care Centre.
Her parents are Megan and Jackson Beynon and they live in Coronation.
Coincidentally, the New Year's baby arrived on January 3rd last year as well.
