Recipes from the Past - Chili



1/2lb Bacon

1 lb Ground Beef

1 can Mushrooms

1/2 bottle ketchup

2 cans Heinz Kidney Beans

3 tbsp. prepared mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

1 Good Sized onion

1 large Green Pepper

1 cup Celery cut

3 heaping tsp. chili powder


Thin with tomato juice. Slightly brown bacon - remove, then ground beef, then remove lard. Combine and simmer for a long time for added flavour. Add tomato juice as it boils down.
