What is The MAN VAN?
The MAN VAN is Canada's sole mobile men's health clinic, embarking on a mission to raise awareness about the critical importance of early prostate cancer detection and overall men's health.
Why Does This Matter?
Prostate cancer affects one in six men in Alberta during their lifetime. Detecting it early is the key to successful treatment. The PSA test, a simple blood test, is an invaluable tool in identifying potential issues. The Prostate Cancer Centre advocates that men should start undergoing baseline PSA testing from age 40. Moreover, the event offers additional health measurements, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and waist circumference, which provide crucial insights into overall well-being and can help address other health concerns such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and obesity.
