StettlerLocal.com Jun 28, 2022 @4:15pm

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?

Born and raised in Stettler.

Why do you (did you) choose Stettler as home?

I grew up here.

What do you do? What is your full title?

Assistant Manager at the Jewel Theatre in Stettler

Education?

High School Diploma and went to school for hairdressing

Family?

Married to Christine, also born and raised in Stettler County

Who inspired you in your youth? All of my 4-H Leaders and the volunteers in the community.

Who inspires you now?

All of the Female Entrepreneurs in this small town. I am blown away by the calibre of women who live in this town.

Do you have any hobbies?

I love to ride horses and homestead. I currently raise ducks, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, sheep, goats and mini Pot Belly Pigs. This doesn't leave a lot of time for other hobbies but we love what we do, being able to grow all of our own food, from eggs, veggies and meat, to milking our own goats as well. I also volunteer for the Crafty Crew 4-H Multi Club as a Sheep project leader.

What are your plans for the future?

I am currently excited for my new role in the historic Jewel Theatre. Personally, I look forward to continuing to create self-sustainable living at home and contributing to our small community in a way that promotes agriculture and local sustainability.

Anything else you would like to add about being a resident of Stettler?

I love our little town, I love that wherever you go you know someone and that it is forever changing and growing. I am PROUD to be from Stettler.

Thank you to Kelsey Bignell for participating in our Local Spotlights.
