Local Spotlight on Faith Shuckburgh

StettlerLocal.com Aug 23, 2022 @ 1:55pm

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?

Born and raised in the Stettler area.

Why do you (did you) choose Stettler as home?

The Shuckburgh Family has chosen Stettler to Farm in for over 100 years. I love the community, the people and the connections I have made in my 19 years growing up here. Stettler is and always will be home to me!

What do you do? What is your full title?

Casual Family Facilitator

Education?

I am going to the University of Lethbridge currently, and I am taking a Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Education combined degree.

Who inspired you in your youth? My entire family has inspired me to have a strong work ethic, but they have also inspired me to use my work ethic to help others. I would not be the person I am today without them. My Great Grandpa Rex still inspires me, though he is not with us anymore. His kindness and constant positivity is something that others still talk about to this day. If I can be alike to anyone in that respect, I choose him to be my inspiration.

Who inspires you now?

The families I work with! They all hold a special place in my heart. My coworkers constant kindness and dedication also inspires me every day I am lucky enough to work with them.

Do you have any hobbies?

I show cattle, I am in 4H and I was head coach of a U15 softball team this year. I also love to hike and I love spending time with my family and friends.

What are your plans for the future?

My goal is to become a Middle/High school English teacher.

Anything else you would like to add about being a member of the community in Stettler County?

My job is made enjoyable every single day thanks to the families who attend my programming in rural communities and right here in Stettler. THANK YOU!

Thank you to Faith Shuckburgh for participating in our Local Spotlights.
