2/3 Heartland Cattlemen's Classic has great first year

Updated: Sep 12, 2021

The Heartland Cattlemen’s Classic hosted their first Bull Congress on January 31st and February 1st at the Stettler Ag Society. The show was put on in partnership with the Stettler & District Agricultural Society and numerous sponsors.

“We had a great event,” said Crystal Rairdan, co-owner of the Stettler Auction Mart and major sponsor of the event. “Everyone had a good time and the kids did a great job showing their animals.”

The Junior Show began on Friday at 3pm and was followed by a banquet at the Stettler Community Hall. Local 4-H Clubs provided baked goods for an auction where just over  $6,000.00 was raised. In a show of great community spirit, the Big Valley 4H Club donated their funds to Victoria & Jonah Jarmin who recently lost their father, Matthew. “Everyone enjoyed the Friday night banquet, the auction and the opportunity to network and talk about the cattle business,” said Rairdan.

Saturday morning started off with a free breakfast, an Open Heifer Show, with Single Bulls and later Pairs of Bulls ending the event.
