The William E Hay graduating classes of 1969,70,71 & 72 gathered this past weekend for a mixed reunion.

Event organizer Grace Fix said that there were 1 to 2 people from each class on the planning committee for the festivities. The biggest obstacle faced by the committee was getting contact information (especially emails) from the graduates but the rest was just deciding what activities to host and keeping everyone current on the progress as the weekend drew near.

Roughly 75 attendees arrived at the Stettler Hotel for the Friday night social gathering. They were given name tags, and the members of the graduating classes had their yearbook photos and the year they graduated on them, much to the delight of the attendees.

On Saturday, 75 people took part in the tour of the High School and were able to see how much it has changed over the years. That evening 150 people attended a dinner held at the Agriplex. On the wall near the front door was a display of yearbook photos which were divided up into corresponding graduating classes. The display also showed former classmates who had passed on.

The Saturday evening dinner was the last of the planned events for the successful reunion.
