Stettler Society for the Prevention of Family Violence has distributed roses to organizations around Stettler to promote awareness for Family Violence Prevention month in November.
Each rose is in memory of the women, children and men who have lost their lives as victims of domestic violence. As you see the roses wilt, it is a reminder of why we must listen and learn to help those who may be struggling.
Mayor Sean Nolls from the town and Larry Clark of the County of Stettler have also signed a proclamation declaring November Family Violence Awareness month.
Thank you to the volunteers from the SSFPFV board, Heartland Victim Services, and the Stettler Outreach for helping to distribute the roses.
