Clearview Public Schools, headquartered in Stettler, Alberta, requires a Principal beginning at the start of the 2023-2024 school year at Donalda School located in Donalda, Alberta. Donalda School is a dynamic, rural PreK-9 school with 75 students.
The individual must have a student-centered philosophy of inclusion, a growth mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to nurture a positive inclusive culture. These skills will support the successful candidate in:
Building deep and trusting relationships with a tight-knit supportive rural community;
Creating welcoming, caring, respectful and safe schools for students and parents through personal relationships and school-wide programs;
Fostering collaborative team relationships with school staff as well as community agencies to support the learning needs of all students;
Identifying a shared school vision and implementing positive cultural change in collaboration with students, parents, staff and school division leadership;
Providing high-level instructional leadership by ensuring staff have access to quality feedback, resources and training to thrive in their professional practice and responsibilities;
Successfully implementing school-wide, data-driven and research-informed instructional practices in areas including, but not limited to, literacy, numeracy, inclusion and assessment;
Identifying and empowering teachers in educational leadership roles;
Nurturing and mentoring new teachers;
Acquiring and applying foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students in a school; and
Strategically allocating and monitoring financial resources to effectively meet the needs of learners.

Applicants should possess or be willing to work towards a Masters’ Degree. Experience and passion for teaching in a multigraded classroom would be an asset.
