Stettler Circle of Services is hiring a Community Navigator.


Under the direction of the Stettler Circle of Services Management Committee, the Community Navigator acts as the primary intake person for incoming support and service requests. The primary responsibility of the Community Navigator is to manage the intake process for individuals seeking support services offered within the Stettler Circle of Services network and external partners as identified.


Duties & Responsibilities

Working under the direction of the Circle of Services Management Team, the Community Navigator will provide direct service to individuals and families. 

  • Promote and raise awareness of the Stettler Circle of Services and the Community Navigator

  • Reflect the  Stettler Circle of Services Vision, Mission and Core Values in your own work and when representing the network

  • Provide intake and assessment to individuals/families requesting support services

  • Maintain up to date and accurate records while managing confidentiality of all individuals information

  • Develop and maintain respectful, cooperative working relationships with network members and community 

  • Strengthen cohesion and collaboration of service delivery throughout the region including co-design of new or expanding programs

  • Assist with funding applications and reporting as required

  • Flexible work schedule with occasional evenings and weekends


Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work with individuals and families using active listening and engagement 

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Critical thinking, planning, problem solving and liaison skills

  • Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Google Suite an asset

  • Knowledge of local and regional resources

  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with network members and community

  • In depth understanding of ethics and boundaries as they relate to case management

  • Excellent organization and time management skills


Requirements

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Human Services related field, or equivalent

  • Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Criminal record and vulnerable sector check 

  • Current Suicide Intervention and First Aid training an asset 


This position is offered as a  part time position, with the opportunity to become full time. The candidate will serve individuals and families within the Town and County of Stettler, and will collaborate with regional progams. This is a term position based upon available grant funding. Position will stay open until a suitable candidate is found. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
