Ken-Mar Concrete is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Assistant. This role will be responsible for assisting in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing administrative support as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks), a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in short periods of time. Duties:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Handle invoicing, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.

  • Process monthly statements and perform collection calls.

  • Perform bank statement and credit card reconciliations.

  • Conduct periodic audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

  • Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and correspondence as required.

  • Prepare financial reports and summaries.

  • Assist with payroll processing and tax documentation as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date financial records using accounting software (QuickBooks).


Qualifications:

  • Experience as a bookkeeper, office assistant or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Finance, Office Administration, or related field.
